#006 Charizard

Charizard (or Rizadon/Lizadon as he's known as in Japan) is a Fire type stage 2 Pokemon that evolves from Charmeleon at level 36.

Charizard's design is based heavily on North American and European dragons. Despite this fact however, Charizard is not classified as a dragon pokemon (which personally makes no sense to me, as there are pokemon classified as dragon types that look nothing like dragons). I hope that if and when there is a sixth generation game, they will reclassify Charizard as a Fire/Dragon like Reshiram.
